Hi #DigitalHumanities and #HCommons people. I'm refreshing some teaching this year about blogging, online presence and social media, but things are a news right now so I'm looking for ideas about 1) why blog now?, 2) how are blogging and social media now related (in the context of the latter's enshittification), and 3) why write online or contribute to e.g. #Wikipedia now?
Basically anything that will help MA level students blog, be online and contribute right now with an eye to the future. No fancy markdown stuff etc stuff, since these are English MAs and WordPress is about as far as we can go complexity-wise. We're going to be having a conversation about why not to use Wix this year for sustainability/black box purposes.
